Personal Trainer in Crawley, West Sussex and London
I’m a Personal Trainer & Online Coach based in both Crawley/Gatwick and London. I’ve also competed as a Powerlifter and BodyBuilder (placing 1st & 2nd respectively – in my chosen categories). Through these endeavors I’m also sponsored by Reflex Nutrition.
I’m guessing you’ve spent a fair amount of time checking out various trainers pages trying to find the right trainer for you? They all probably say much the same: “I specialise in…. postural correction, toning, fat loss, muscle gain, sports specific, nutrition, core strength, functional training etc etc” Wow. They’re pretty talented right?! Let me ask you this;
If you required brain surgery – would you let your ‘General’ Practitioner perform it? Hell no! You’d want one of the most qualified Neurosurgeons that specializes in that field and does it day in, day out wouldn’t you?
So when you seek radical fat loss changes, surely you’d want to see an expert in that field rather than the typical trainer that tries to cater for everyone.. Often leading to clients looking the same 6 months down the line.
This is the reason I focus solely on Body Composition. If you want a complete change in body shape through either fat loss or muscle gain (or even both in some cases) then you’re my kind of client. If you’re wanting ‘core stability’ or ‘functional training’ then I’d suggest seeking someone who specialises in that.
How I Work:
I base my business on the fact that I practice what I preach, and I understand what my clients are going through.
Most trainers fail because they haven’t made serious changes themselves, they’ve never added a significant amount of muscle or got down to single digit body fat levels.
Because of this, they don’t know what their clients are going through, they don’t understand the highs and lows of dieting and the effects it can have mentally.
One of the top attributes all top level Personal Trainers have is that they’re able to really understand how their client works, and can then use that to help drive them. You may have the perfect exercise plan, the latest supplement protocol, but if you’re not motivated and driven then your results will be sub-par.
This is the key to the success I have with my clients, I’ve been there and I know how it feels, how tempting it is to cheat on that diet. I also know what happens when you don’t give in and keep on pushing..

As much as going on various courses & seminars is invaluable, I really think one of the best ways to further education within this industry is to actually sit down and work with / pick the brains of the guys at the top of their game. This is one thing I don’t see enough trainers doing themselves – they never try new methods or other professionals ways of thinking. When it comes to the human body, it really is all about trial & error – there’s very little ‘black & white’.
